Happy Birthday LJJO! The Landesjugendjazzorchester Hamburg – one of Germany’s leading young jazz orchestras – proudly looks back on 35 years of existence and celebrates this birthday in Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall! For the anniversary concert »LJJO celebrates«, the orchestra has prepared something very special: in the first set, the Landesjugendjazzorchester Hamburg under the direction of Hendrika Entzian will play works and arrangements by former LJJO members to literally make the history of the ensemble resound. Afterwards, an outstanding special guest will join them in the second set: the internationally renowned and celebrated trumpeter Bert Joris will present his own works together with the young jazz musicians and will also be on stage as a soloist.
